What's up mustang fans!!

Little update on the Costa Rica trip, yesterday started out wonderful thanks to a beautiful luncheon put on by the amazing Zamora and Snelling families!

Today was also quite eventful, beginning with some community service at an Escuela de los Ninos. We had an unforgettable visit, not to mention we left quite a bit sweaty after running around playing and dancing with Los Ninos. After that we had a splendid tour of downtown Costa Rica in which we thoroughly enjoyed learning all about its history. From there we went to the Flee Market, where I'm pretty sure we spent most our Colones already :), but how could we resist all the unique hand crafted souvenirs they had?

Now for my favorite part, we ate at an authentic Costa Rican restaurant and were served Casado, which consists of rice, chicken, potatoes, sweet plantain, refried beans, and salad. As basic as this may sound, it wasn't. The flavor the food has here is indescribable. After eating, Kerri Nakamoto and I were surprised with an amazing birthday cake and a happy birthday song en espanol! Add a little team building, including musical chairs, pass the hat, and a game of shipwreck, and you have yourself one amazing authentic Costa Rican lunch!

Once we got back, I got myself a nice workout in, showered up and we headed off to our game, where we won 91-29. No big deal, but the girls played not too shabby for the first time out!

Quick dinner after that, and off to the boys game we went, where we cheered our bottoms off to show our support for our awesome guys that played a great game. Now we are heading off to get some shut-eye to rest up for our long day at la playa mañana!!! So until next time Mustang fans, Pura Vida my friends.

Adios,
