SAN JUAN – El 1er Campamento de Talentos para Árbitros de FIBA-Américas se celebrará en Medellín, Colombia del 18 al 23 de octubre donde se estarán invitando de 30 árbitros de la zona.
El Campamento se hace con la intención de mantener un sistema de educación continuada que permita seguir con la evolución y el desarrollo de nuestro deporte y del arbitraje en América.
En el campamento estará el Secretario General de FIBA-Américas, Sr. Alberto García, el Director Técnico, Sr. Aníbal García y el Director de Árbitros, Sr. Geraldo Fontana.
“En nuestra organización tenemos muy buenos árbitros pero en muy pocos países, como consecuencia de ello necesitamos ver cómo podemos mejorar la calidad del arbitraje en países que están menos desarrollados”, dijo el Secretario General, Alberto García.
En el Campamento los árbitros convocados van a obtener un conocimiento mas profundo de cada una de las reglas y el objetivo primordial es desarrollar cada uno de ellos para que se conviertan en mejores árbitros para competencias locales e internacionales. Los participantes van a someterse a pruebas escritas y de práctica.
“El arbitraje forma parte muy importante de un torneo, todos van a ir a ver a los jugadores y entrenadores, pero todos requieren que el arbitraje sea consistente, idóneo, equilibrado y uniforme”, añadió García.
Además de los 30 árbitros que se van a invitar, también estarán cuatro de los mejores árbitros de FIBA-Américas y un número de instructores nacionales.
“La importancia del campamento es cubrir y reclutar nuevos talentos para arbitraje, identificar aquellos árbitros ‘top’ en América y es una oportunidad para los árbitros ‘top’ que vamos a invitar para que pasen toda su experiencia con los árbitros que van a participar. Esos árbitros ‘top’ pueden servir de espejo a los árbitros participantes”.
“Para el proceso educativo de FIBA-Américas es algo muy importante porque estamos realizando el proyecto ‘Preparando árbitros para el futuro’ que tiene la dimensión de preparar árbitros ‘top’ en la zona”.
FIBA-Americas – FIBA-Americas International Referee Camp to be held in Colombia:
SAN JUAN – The first FIBA-Americas International Referee Camp will be held in Medellin, Colombia on October 18-23 where 30 referees from the zone will be invited.
The camp will be held with the intention of maintaining an education system that allows referees to continue their development and evolution of our sport and refereeing in America.
FIBA-Americas Secretary General, Mr. Alberto Garcia will be in the camp along with the Technical Director, Mr. Anibal Garcia and the Referee Director, Mr. Geraldo Fontana.
"In our organization we have very good referees but in few countries, because of that we need to see how we can improve the quality of refereeing in countries that are not well developed," said FIBA-Americas Secretary General, Alberto Garcia.
In the camp the invited referees will have a deeper knowledge of each one of the rules and the main goal is to develop each one of them in order to become better referees in their local and international competitions. The referees will do practical and written tests.
"Refereeing is an important part of a tournament, everyone sees the players and coaches, but all of them require that the refereeing has to be consistent, ideal, balanced and constant," added Garcia.
Also with the 30 invited referees, there will be four of the Top FIBA-Americas referees and a number of FIBA National Instructors.
"The importance of the camp is to cover and recruit new talents for refereeing, identify those 'top' referees in America and this is an opportunity for the current 'top' referees to pass all that knowledge to the participating referees. Those 'top' referees will be a mirror for those that are participating."
"For the FIBA-Americas educational process it is very important because we are doing the project 'Preparing referees for the future' that has the goal to prepare the 'top' ones in the zone."
